How often should I get my electric golf buggy serviced?

We recommended to service your buggy every 1 – 2 years or every 500km to ensure optimal performance of your buggy.

If you feel your buggy is not performing properly, organise to get it serviced with your local agent.

What should I do if my buggy/battery has been immersed in water?

Under no circumstances should a Lithium Battery that has been immersed in water be connected to a buggy or charger. By doing so you may create a fire hazard or risk the battery catching fire. Please contact your local service agent to arrange an inspection.

How much weight can an electric golf buggy carry?

Most electric golf buggies have a carry capacity of 20kg. It is advised you do not exceed the carry capacity as it may damage your buggy.

Is there any maintenance my electric golf buggy requires?

There are a few recommendations to keep your buggy running smoothly and prevent unnecessary faults:

Apply a small amount of grease to your buggy’s axle when it is dry. Lithium based grase is recommended.

Keep your buggy clean by regularly wiping it down with a damp cloth. Do not used a hose or high pressure washer.

Always recharge your battery as soon as possible after finishing your round.

Lithium Batteries & Chargers

What type of battery should I use for my electric golf buggy?

We recommend that either a lithium or sealed lead acid battery be used as there is no maintenance to be done. The battery should be rated to at least 16 amp hour capacity.

If I am not using my battery/buggy for a while what should I do?

Lithium batteries can be left off charge for up to 1 month at a time (provided they are fully charged before hand), whilst lead acid batteries can only be left off charge for 1 week. Charge after use as normally, then disconnect from the charge and store in a cool (not COLD) place.

How long will a battery last?

The latest lithium batteries are rated to last 1,000 rounds. These batteries frequently last longer, and many factors such as the course played, charging regime, buggy types all contribute to battery life.

A deep cycle sealed lead acid battery should complete 18 holes for at least 200 rounds.

Manufacturers warranty periods are strictly adhered to and little can be done in these cases if the warranty period is exceeded before a problem is reported.

How do I charge the battery?

The battery should be put on charge as soon as possible after your game. Never leave a battery partially discharged as it will reduce the long term life of the battery. Check and follow the charging instructions as set out by the battery and charger manufacturer.

How long after a round of golf should I charge my battery?

As soon as possible. battery left partially or fully discharged commences deteriorating at that time. The sooner it is re-charged, the longer life the battery will have.
